Dan Ferro's Statement about "retro: Roofs"

This is from a series of personal work created between 1982 and 1986 while I was doing advertising and corporate photography professionally. It shows images that led to my current work. The exploration of texture and abstract images interested me over 20 years ago. Using digital technology has brought freedom to this exploration that was previously not possible. Though these images were captured with traditional film, they were digitized with a high end drum scanner in 1992 and printed this year using the latest inkjet printing technology. I hope you enjoy this series. I enjoyed creating the images and revisiting them while making these digital prints.
