The Origin
Period Gallery opened its doors, in the heart of the midwest, more than seven years ago, with the desire to showcase international artistic talent from every corner of the world.
Within a year, a strong focus on artists, paired with a central location, helped the gallery represent artists, across the US, from New York to San Francisco.
Soon afterward, word spread across the ocean - today, now seven years later, Period Gallery represents artists spanning every continent around the globe.
Although our showcase of work is always evolving; our mission has remained the same:
• Provide a market for the exposure and proliferation of original works from across the world
• Give the artistic community an international gallery celebrating the diversity of visual expression
• Provide artists a place to share ideas and exchange thoughts while viewing artwork from around the globe
International Presence
As we began to showcase work on an international level, many artists and buyers couldn't make the trip to browse the exhibition. Because of growing distance, there was widespread interest to host the events online simultaneously with the physical gallery opening.
The next summer we went to work constructing our online version of Period Gallery. Three months later we were ready...
After launching the web site we received many rave reviews from artists but more important was the sudden impact on our exhibition attendance and sales.
Now seven years later, because of the global nature of our business, artists and prospective buyers are using our web site thousands of times more than visiting the physical gallery.
With the ability to view entire exhibitions online, search for specific genres or color choices, our web site has grown far more then we ever imagined.
Future Showcase
The future looks bright as Period Gallery schedules exhibitions every month, reaching audiences of thousands worldwide, showcasing the best original artwork across the world.
